To enhance the training of junior investigators who are entering the field of integrative cancer biology, the NCI-ICBP is holding a workshop that will focus on topics not included in the junior investogators' formal training.

Wopkshop topics:

Career development issues unique to inter-disciplinary scientists

a. Multi-disciplinary approaches to science

· Philosophy of multi-disciplinary research

· Building and managing an inter-disciplinary team

· Shared experiences from successful investigators in multi-disciplinary fields

Career options – academic, industry and government
Group discussions to explore common interests, issues, approaches and new technical tools and analyses.
