GENSIPS'11 will provide a forum for researchers in the signal processing community, other related computational experts, and biomedical scientists to exchange ideas and discuss signal processing challenges due to the high modality of disparate high-through data, high variability if the data acquisition, high dimensionality of the data, and high complexity of genomics and proteomics systems. The theme of GENSIPS'`11 is cancer and computational biology and GENSIPS will feature prominent plenary speakers as well as special session in cancer research. GENSIPS'11 will be in conjunction with the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium (SABCS), the world most famous and largest breast cancer conference, providing GENSIPS'11 attendees convenience to also attend SABCS).

Call for Poster - GENSIPS’11

The 2011 IEEE International Workshop on Genomic Signal Processing and Statistics (GENSIPS’11) will be held in San Antonio, Texas, from December 4-6, 2011 (http://compgenomics.cbi.utsa.edu/gensips11/). GENSIPS’11 will provide a forum for researchers in the signal processing community, other related computational experts, and biomedical scientists to exchange ideas and discuss signal processing challenges due to the high modality of disparate high-throughput data, high variability of the data acquisition, high dimensionality of data, and high complexity of genomics and proteomics systems.

GENSIPS’11 will feature prominent plenary speakers, tutorial and special sessions in high throughput sequencing and cancer research, over 50 presentations on genomics signal processing and computational biology, and panel discussion with program directors from funding agencies.

GENSIPS’11 solicits high quality research work in, but not limited to, the following areas.

·         Cancer biomarker discovery

·         System level prognosis and diagnosis

·         Data integration and TCGA data processing

·         Fault diagnosis of cancer regulatory networks

·         Modeling of cancer dynamics

·         Cancer drug screening and effectiveness prediction

·         High throughput sequencing data analysis

·         High throughput data and cloud computing

·         Genetic network and pathway modeling and simulation

·         Dynamics and control of genetic regulatory networks

·         Functions of miRNA and non-coding RNAs

·         Data analysis methods for SNP/genotype data

·         Proteomics LC/MS data analysis

·         Functional meta-genomics and bimolecular dynamics in microbial communities
